Several steps are taken to produce a wiring harness product.
First, you need to design the circuit to define the logical connection relationship of the wire, and prepare the materials necessary for actual production by reflecting the length value based on this connection relationship. Then, after creating a drawing for the work order that can be distributed to the workers, the production of the actual product begins.
Because the needs of each step are different, the drawing designers create different types of drawings accordingly.
Typically, it can be divided into three main parts.
Below, we will explain the shape and features of the drawing according to each step.
1. Circuit design stage: Circuit diagram (Logic, Circuit diagram)
The connection relationship between the device and the device is designed, specifications are set, and the arrangement and size of each device are set to determine the simulation and reliability.
It is the process of defining which connector and wire to use. As a result, you can get the “From-To Connector List” as shown below.
2. Material preparation stage: Manufacturing drawings (MFG)
You will create it based on the circuit diagram you designed earlier.
You can enter the actual length of the wire, the sheath material (tube, clip, etc.) and other subsidiary material information.
After the drawing design is finished, you can extract the material details required for the production of the product through the function of extracting bill oh materials (BOM) based on the design details.
In addition, the actual length of each circuit can be known, so the cost can be calculated.
3. Product manufacturing stage: Assembly drawings (FBD, Formboard drawings)
It is a drawing for work order for actual product production.
After designing with a 1:1 measurement ratio, attaching a jig, mounting a wire on it, and assembling the product to complete production.
(Jig: Parts that can support wires, connectors, terminals, etc. that make up the harness)
